Stella Ishack’s work occupies the liminal space between illustration and fine art, fusing her love for fashion with her deep appreciation for technical drawing skills. Through her portraits and depictions of the fashion figure, she often combines areas of intricate, realistic detail with unfinished areas of textured, loose paint. Though she is always experimenting with new materials with which to represent her ideas, she is never more at home than with an HB pencil in hand, and a blank piece of paper.

Ishack studied English Literature and at the London Atelier of Representational Art. She exhibited with the Lot 5 Collective at Mall Galleries in 2017, in a show entitled Ways of Seeing: The Visible and the Intuitive. Her work has been displayed with Lot 5on two other occasions; once at Candid Arts, and once more at the Mall Galleries.
